Why me?

That's a very good question. It really is a personal choice when it comes to choosing someone to come to your home or business address and fly a drone.

If you've got to this page, firstly, Thanks!
I am polite, relaxed and approachable, I'm also someone that takes the responsibly of flying drones over customers properties very seriously. Whether it’s a dwelling, a business, a country pub or hotel, over "involved people on the ground", my ethos will always be "Is this safe?".

Even the word "drone" makes some people roll their eyes. Sadly, this is due largely to irresponsible owners who fly drones wherever they want, having absolutely no idea there are strict rules around where you can fly them lawfully. They do not alert their local Air Traffic Control desk to notify them of an intended flight. They don't consider neighbouring properties whose residents may be concerned about their privacy being invaded. They just fly it and its everyone else's problem. We even hear on the news from time to time that someone has not adhered to the rules and has caused a major problem for an organisation or individual.

I am NOT in that category. In 2017, I attended a 3-day course at Farnborough, learning the rules around the safe flying of drones. Rules change as we move through the years but the fundamentals don't. Safety and Flying Responsibly must always be absolutely front and centre in your mind before any intended flight.

"I've got a friend with a drone; I'll get them to do it".

Yes, that will save you some money and if it goes according to plan, that's great. But,

Are they competent to complete the flight and have they the required skill level?

Have they registered their drone and got an Operator ID and Flyer ID?

Is their Operator ID displayed on their drone?

Have they got Public Liability Insurance?

Are they complying with the regulations as laid out by the CAA?

Will they have a spotter to help them if required?

Do they know if it’s too windy to fly?

If required, and as a courtesy, will they politely notify any relevant neighbouring properties that aerial photography is taking place?

(I can do this if you would rather not)

Do they do a Risk Assessment to ensure safety?

If the answer to any of the above questions is no or not sure, that may help you to decide. Hope that helps!

I also offer post-production work if requested. From my studio, I can create short one-to-two-minute films including music and your chosen text integration, animated graphical effects and more.
